Wolsey 125th Celebration "Get on Board" June 27, 28, 29, 2008
The schedule for the Wolsey 125th Celebration is as follows:
Thursday, June 26 -- Karaoke for 20 year olds and younger from 7-11pm at Shooters Saloon (to be held outside). Various games will be held. Limber up for the limbo!
Friday, June 27th --
* 9:00am--3 on 3 Basketball Tournament in the Wolsey-Wessington School Gym. (Concessions available in the gym.)
* 7:00pm--Wheelbarrow Races @ Wolsey Ball Park
* Alumni night. Contact your classmates and get together. Karaoke for adults at Shooters Saloon from 9:00pm-1:00am.
Saturday, June 28th
* 8:00am--Rolls and coffee at the Wolsey-Wessington School lunchroom (sponsored by the Senior Center Nutrition Site)
* 10:00am--Parade. Make plans to line up at 9:00am. The line-up location will be announced later.
* 11:30am--The time capsule from the 100th Celebration will be on display in the Wolsey-Wessington School Elementary Lab. All new items to be buried will also be on display there.
* 1:00pm--Hypnotist, Ron Carter
* 3:00pm--Tonic Sol Fa
* 5:00 to 7:00pm--Lions supper at the Wolsey-Wessington School lunchroom--serving BBQ Pork sandwiches, macaroni salad, chips, & ice cream.
* 7:00pm--Wolsey Goat Races @ Wolsey Ball Park. Candy scramble at intermission.
* 8:00pm--BINGO @ Wolsey-Wessington School Lunchroom. Sponsored by Hershman-Gordon American Legion Auxiliary
* 9:00pm--Street Dance with MORNING AFTER BAND at Shooters Saloon from 9:00pm-1:00am
Concession Stands will open at 11:00am on Saturday and remain open through the Goat Races.
Sunday, June 29th --
* Morning Church Services at the local churches.
* 11:30am--St. John's Lutheran Dinner @ football field--Everyone Welcome
* 12:30am--Bowman Brothers
* 1:30pm--POOL PARTY with many fun activities @ Wolsey Public Swimming Pool
